One of the coolest parts of my job is getting to see all the families I photograph grow throughout the years. It is really pretty awesome to see my little newborns develop into little people full of some much personality, imagination and curiosity. It also means that when we do meet up for more photos, they know just what to expect and we can jump right into having lots of fun.
Such was the case when I met up with the Dickerson family a couple of weeks ago, who I have had the pleasure of photographing since their big boy Barrett was just a few days old. For our most recent session to capture baby Reid’s six-month milestone, we met up at one of my favorite Pasadena locations, Eaton Canyon. It was unusually green due to the little bit of rain we’ve gotten recently and made for a beautiful setting for our super relaxed and candid photos. Their little one wasn’t feeling so hot that day but I cherish these images even more because they are so real and true. I love the photos of them comforting him and just being a family. I couldn’t ask for more!
I love how quickly Barrett’s facial expressions change and how his face lights up!
