You might say I’m part Oregonian and part Angeleno. I was born in a small town in Oregon’s Willamette Valley and relocated with my family to Los Angeles when I was seven. As much as I’ve been shaped by living in California for most of my life, there’s no doubt there’s a lot of Oregonian still left in me… I seriously LOVE the rain!
It was a hard transition for me at that young age leaving my green forest for the sprawling metropolis in the desert. I missed it big time. Thankfully I have had the chance to go back quite a bit over the years. My most recent trip was in September when Andrew and I went to see my sister who lives in Portland.
We crammed in a lot of sightseeing into just a few days and crammed a LOT of food in our mouths. Seriously, I’m pretty sure you could throw a rock and hit a good restaurant in Portland. The trip was just a giant food-fest and I loved every minute of it. I can’t wait to go back… Maybe to shoot a wedding! Any takers?
Had to check out Sauvie Island just north of Portland. So pretty!
Andrew had never been to the Oregon coast, so off to Cannon Beach and Astoria we went.
In true nerdy style, we had to get a shot in front of the Goonies house!
Our trip pretty much revolved around our food itinerary. Portland is a foodie’s paradise!
The real reason I went to Portland… to meet my sister’s new kitty, Eloise.
WhitneyOmg! This is the best thing ever! I got quite emotional (when I saw pics of my cat!) hahaha! But seriously, Jen, this is so wonderful and beautiful. Thank you!
VivianNice job Jenna!
