It may sound cliche when I say I left my heart in San Francisco but when I flew up there a few weekends ago to shoot Jen and Trevor’s engagement session, I realized that I had indeed left it there. It’s where my photography career began studying photojournalism at SF State. It’s where I met my husband and some of my closest friends. It’s where I spent six of my very formative years.
Since moving to LA, I’ve gotten up to San Francisco, regrettably, less and less. So, it was quite a treat to spend the weekend up there. Whether I was hanging out with my old buddies, taking the F Train down Market Street, or going from landmark to landmark with my clients via taxi, it seemed as though every inch of the City held a memory I had nearly forgotten. In some ways, being there to photograph Jen and Trevor, I felt I had come full circle… being there to do what I had moved up there to do so many years before… to make a career out of doing what I love doing most… photographing people.
And what beautiful people they were! Seriously! I know I say that about all of my clients, but we had so much fun together and they were so easy to photograph. And, I’m thrilled with all the great photos we got.
Jen and Trevor – Thank you so much for such a fun day! It was a pleasure. I can’t wait until October!!
