My name is Jenna Elliott and I’m the photographer behind One Eleven Photography, which I run with the help of my amazingly supportive husband Andrew. I specialize in modern, candid, natural-light photography for weddings and families.

The first thing you should know about me is there has never been anything that I have ever wanted to do more than be a photographer. I love my job. I love that, since the first day I picked up my first camera at age 13, it has allowed me to meet so many amazing and different people. I love that every photo shoot holds something unexpected and unique. I love that every day is different. I love capturing happiness, hope, humanity and, this may sound cheesy, but I love capturing love. I swear it’s true!

On the subject of what I love, I am happiest when I’m spending time with my husband, taking photos, sharing a home-cooked meal with family and friends or all of the above all at the same time. When I was a little girl, I dreamt of travelling the world as a National Geographic photographer. (I’m pretty sure I wasn’t alone with that dream.) While I continue to have a constant urge to travel, these days there is nowhere else I’d rather be than at home.

I attribute the relaxed, laid-back nature of my photo sessions to growing up in Southern California. The result of my training as a photojournalist is that I like my photos to be as candid as possible and I tend to keep posing to a minimum. The result is clients who feel free to be themselves and photographs that capture their happiness, hope, humanity and love.
