Stephanie and Sam booked me to photograph their wedding way back in January, so for me the anticipation was high. But when I arrived at the Ambassador Campus in Pasadena a couple Sundays back, I immediately felt relaxed. Stephanie and Sam were so calm, cool and collected and that energy influenced the way I photographed them. We had time to do a “first look” and all the group shots prior to the ceremony, which aided the relaxed vibe and made it possible for Sam and Stephanie to enjoy more time with their guests.
I loved the green and orange color palette that Stephanie chose. It was very cool and sophisticated. It reminded me of my trip to Tuscany a couple years ago. The location they chose was great too. Growing up in Pasadena, I have probably driven past the Ambassador Campus a thousand times but I had never actually been there. I might just have to add it to my location list for future shoots.
