A little while back, Melissa and I were chatting on the phone about doing a photo session at her family. As I always do, I suggested doing the shoot at their home, which is about the time she told me she was an architect and that they lived in South Pasadena in home that she designed. That was so exciting to me! I love photographing families in their homes but a home designed and built by the family is a whole ‘nother level of awesome!
Heading to their house on the day of our shoot, I was a little nervous, not going to lie. I really wanted to make the most of such a great opportunity to not only capture the family and the kids’ personalities but also capture their beautiful space that is as much a part of their family’s story as the people themselves. This collection of images is the result and I couldn’t love them more!
